Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET)

True Spin Dental is a dental hand-piece repair company located on Western & Lawrence in Lincoln Square. We have been in Chicago since 2012 and have continuously been gaining market share in the Chicago dental repair market, including an immensely popular dental equipment repair service.

THE POSITION: 

We are currently looking to hire a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) to join the True Spin Dental team. We are interested in a skilled technician who either has past experience with repairing dental equipment, or who has worked on other types of large medical equipment and is interested in learning about repairing dental equipment. The technician will be given a fully outfitted truck with an inventory of tools and parts needed to complete your jobs. The technician will both be given appointments and reach out to doctors building relationships for new clients. The technician will be paid based on billable hours, and has huge earning potential based on how much you'd like to work. Our customers are eager to meet you and work with you!

Hourly pay based on experience 

Start Date: ASAP

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good electrical background
  • Mechanical knowledge and the ability to read schematics
  • Some knowledge of pneumatics or a willingness to learn
  • Must have general knowledge of city & surrounding suburbs
  • Must be able to keep record of & organize service appointments
  • Excellent customer service
  • English speaking
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check & possess an acceptable motor vehicle record (specific requirements may vary - but your record does not have to be 'squeaky clean')

REPAIR JOBS COULD INCLUDE:

  • Chairs
  • Compressors
  • Dental Cleaning and Polishing Equipment
  • Electrical
  • Exam Lighting
  • Hosing (Air, Water, Diaphragms, check valves, regulators, etc.)
  • Plumbing
  • Sterilizers
  • Ultrasonic Cleaners
  • Vacuum Pumps
  • X-Ray Systems

IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD:

  • Be hard working, self-motivated, friendly, and honest
  • Be determined to learn new skills related to fixing dental equipment and instrumentation.
  • Have great customer service skills
  • Be flexible with weekly scheduling
  • Be punctual & able to prioritize
